Getting Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG)

Introduction

SMEs in Singapore often juggle many tasks: daily operations, manual work, customer demands, reporting, etc. The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) helps lighten that load. It supports local small and medium businesses in adopting IT solutions, equipment, and automation tools to improve productivity. That means less manual effort, faster workflows, and more time to focus on growth.

What PSG Offers
  • Grants cover up to 50% of eligible costs.

  • Each company can receive up to S$30,000 under PSG.

  • Grant applies to both sector-specific and generic productivity solutions like digital tools, IT equipment, and certain consultancy services.

Who Can Apply

To be eligible for PSG, your company must:

  • Be registered and operating in Singapore.

  • Have at least 30% local shareholding (either directly or indirectly by Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents).

  • Have group annual turnover ≤ S$100 million, or group employment size ≤ 200 employees.

  • Use the IT solutions / equipment / consultancy in Singapore

  • Not have made any payment or deposit for the solution before submitting your application.

  • Be eligible-type entity (i.e. some entities such as charities, religious entities, government agencies etc are excluded).

How to Apply
  1. Find relevant solutions & vendor
Use the GoBusiness Gov Assist platform to pick from pre-approved IT solutions, equipment, or consultancy services. Do your homework on vendors.

  2. Obtain quotations
Get quotes from pre-approved vendors for IT solutions; for equipment, ensure specs match required standard.

  3. Submit application via Business Grants Portal (BGP)
Use your CorpPass to log in, submit the form, upload needed documents like financial statements, quotations etc.

  4. Wait for approval & receive grant
Once approved, implement the solution and submit your claim. Grant disbursement happens after claim approval, typically following all requirements.

Important Things to Note
  • Applications that are retrospective (i.e. you’ve already paid or deposited before the application) are not supported.

  • Each UEN (business entity) has a $30,000 cap per year under PSG. Plan your usage accordingly.

  • Solutions must be pre-approved. If it’s not in the PSG-approved catalogue, it likely won’t qualify.

  • Payment or deposits made before approval will disqualify the grant.

Why This Matters
  • PSG helps SMEs lower the cost of adopting productive technology so they can stay competitive.

  • Automation and digitalisation reduce manual and repetitive tasks, freeing up staff for higher-value work.

  • Over time, using these tools can improve efficiency, reduce errors, and lead to better customer service.

Summary

If you run an SME in Singapore, the Productivity Solutions Grant gives you a powerful assist to level up with tech, automation, and equipment without carrying all the cost. As long as you’re eligible, pick relevant pre-approved solutions, get your paperwork in order, apply, and you could get up to 50% support, capped at S$30,000.
